They can do it as a pledge or a donation. A pledge payment only goes through when you complete the event, a donation is instant and stays with the charity even if you pull out. I raised £2140 for the FLM 07 online and every single one did it as a donation.
Hail Hail It would be worth pointing out that the 2130 is no longer made. The current version is the 2140 - a touch more cushioned, although perhaps slightly less flexible. Having said that, I dont use either model to run in - just my opinion as a retailer.
been to the tech tour today - tech lady was very nice. turns out the shoes i was using are neutrals and im a slight pronator. she tried to push the kayanos but i decided to go for the gt-2140 as they felt more comfortable. i'll be trying it out tonight.
I would imagine the 1140 is a more direct replacement for your 1120's. I recently went from a pair of 1120's (via a pair of Brooks, don't ask) to a pair of 2140's, and they are more supportive, however, they (and 1120's for that matter) are for mild overpronators.
I'll stick to Asics Nic i think, they suit me, or i suit them woteva? although finding a pair isn't easy as they are either out of stock, discontinued etc These are looking Fave at the moment Asics 2140's (in white..i dont do Black runners!!!!)
You need to go to a shop and get some advice. The 2140/2150s are not more supportive than the Kayanos and, as i understand it, the advice is usually to wear neutral shoes with orthotics (though i dont think this always applies). Your injuries may be related to this but then they may be related to something completely…
I'm over 14 stone and 6'1. I use Asics GT2120 with extra cushioning in the heel (because I've got a tight calf muscle. These have been great for me! Can't find them on the asics website now because I think they've been replaced with GT 2140 ?
Sorry I'm late. But I'm here now. I just wondered if Mr Saucony could tell us what the Saucony equivalent of a 2140 is, because I'm determind to win this year. love from Colin the Mouse (my Mum lives near Norwich and I'm going to stay with her soon)
There have been major complaints from retailers and customers up and down the country about the 2140. The major issues have been blisters and first met pain as you are experiencing AB. It has been a problem with the shoe for the whole time it has been on sale. Something that has been rectified in the 2150.
Hi NGUG - I was thinking my running shop man Erik would simply upgrade my 2130s into 2150s. He didn't have any in stock for the narrower width fitting, so i tried on some 2140s instead. He told me (and I certainly felt it) that the 2140s were quite stiff and lacking in cushioning compared to the 2130s, but he said that the…
