NZD: It is in Newport ,Wales they run a full marathon and first time for the Half and a 10k.It will be interesting I am not expecting much but nice to get one under my belt again. Well done on 10.5 miles;-) Ale: I hope it is a glimmer of hope. Today Progression run and finally I nailed it 5 minutes warm up,30 minutes at…
Unfortunate about the storm, WP. Double estuary loop LMR this morning. Total of 16.3 km @ 5:56, HR 132/152. Included one faster 2.15 km segment after km 11; 4:40 over the first ~500 m (ahem ... half+ of that downhill), ~5:10 average over the rest.
TS Great to see improvement in your run :) Oh yes woman from Atlantis ;) another wet run today when none was due in but progressive run. 5 minutes warm up 30 minutes at 12mm 10 minutes at 10mm 5 minutes cool down I nailed it all but always go to Park for last ten minutes fast. Wordle in Four
WP sounds an interesting challenge - cats tend to do what they want and train their human to fit!! sounds a promising start to your 10 training block. Hard white frost, clear blue skies and sun rising brightly -couldn't be better :) I have an early start tomorrow so I repeated yesterday's run which happened to almost…
Dave, great work on your 10 mile hilly run. TS : Glad to hear the Moderna shot reaction is wearing off. I've only had Pfizer (6x). Nil reactions so far. But I gather Moderna is a stronger dose. WP: Hope you do manage to secure a Cardiff slot. Sounds like the best option. Incremental 10 sec improvement in parkrun time…
8.4 km fartlek type excursion around estuary this morning, with four randomly interspersed 0.4k - 0.6k faster segments (~5:10 - 4:50 pace). Legs didn't seem keen on going any faster! Overall average pace 5:54. Delicate dawn mist hovering over lawns at start of run (hasn't fully come out in photo. TS would definitely have…
Good decision Dave. Enjoy the holiday. Very decent result TS. A hundred and five meters EG in 5km is a *lot* of hill in a short space. Puts a different perspective on your HR stats. Can't compare that with a parkrun race 10 years ago. Apart from age difference and race vs recovery training, I'd venture to guess the parkrun…
Saturday sounds as good a day as it could be alehouse, without being able to run yourself. Hope tomorrow brings some kind of encouragement. Legs ok, NZD? Pretty much matched your effort this morning (but not faster then intended), with 10 miles bagged. Undulating point to point route, another cold grey day. Wordle in four…
alehouse hope the jabs went well! Mine was done with a needle that seemed to have been blunted and it gave me some grief afterwards as I walked home - all 2.2 miles The good news is that the treatments is working and I am now onto a 10 week period and then going onto an 18 week period between jabs - so some relief. Bit…
