Apart from a pimple the last 41km (25miles) is downhill. Even if not quite a true reflection of the reality it could leave 45minutes-60minutes downhill!
Then nicely stiffened up start the run. The final climb is about 1100m in 8km. So a bit like legging it up Snowdon from Llanberis (train is 7.5km and climbs about 1000m).
you get to swap bikes half way and do some off-road biking too. I tried doing some hill reps on that run course once, didn't even manage one little rep
The second two cols are the same amount of climb roughly as from Nice to the Col de l'Ecre and it is 28.6 kms... 1298m climb 676 descent (according to google maps)

Nice.
The swim looks pretty flat!
I like the name of the highest pass on the bike - Furkapass.
I think that might get renamed by those doing it!
No one considering it then ?
Anyone else?
Looks awesome watched the youtube videos on this again last week. I have a feeling that it is edging on to my bucket list.
PSOF champs 2015?
Will try and watch your progress Chopsy. Bit flat for you though?
Living in Norfolk - I think that looks truly terrifying!!

Hi there,
I was there yesterday and "participated" as supporter of one of the athletes. It's a very tough and beautiful race.
Please find on the link below some nice pictures and enjoy the scenery!

Have fun
I had a go.... was simply awesome and takes hard to another level, was too f*&ked to even eat at the finish.
I know a couple of 9hr IMs who took over 14 hours, I came in just under 16.....
As a life 'experience' I can't recommend it enough.
hmmm
This is tempting... on the To Do List...
just what i was thinking....... thats a hell of a lot of climbing.........
