I am currently trading for my first marathon.
The problem is that after my long runs I am completely wiped out for the rest of the day and feel dreadful the day after.
I did 15 miles yesterday in 2 and a half hours. I had a gel every 40 minutes and drunk water while running. When I finished I had some chicken and veg. I drank 2 pints of water as well.
My legs were heavy towards the end of the run, as there is a few hills on the route.
Is my fuelling wrong. Anyone with any advice would be greatly appreciated.
