    hello all,
    Oh yes, rejection eagerly anticipated, my 20th application over the past 22 years, will I add to my 3 ballot successes? Good news is next year I get an extra 5 minutes for a GFA which I realy should have by now.
    Don - well done for joining the admin team!

    Emz/Chick - ahh that could be me. I tend to go to work unless moving away from a bathroom becomes a hazard. The sooner I spread my cold germs the quicker I get betterimage
    Can't remember who asked but half on Sunday is my local (Basingstoke) know the route back to front, bit hilly but have no target. Just plan to enjoy it.

    Re. carb loading image  I think I managed about half the carb intake I'm supposed to and I feel bleurgh. Not sure I can cope with much more. Guess I'll force a plate of pasta and some juice down tonight but not looking forward.

    chicksta - all I do to carb load is cutback on the amount of fruit and veg that I eat and if I fancy something rather than not having it I indulge but I try to make this good carb stuff such as oat cakes or toast (white) rather than cakes and biscuits. I don't have much extra on the Thursday, Friday is 'see it, want it, eat it' day and Saturday is a good breakfast and early pasta dinner with a tomato sauce and tuna or salmon plus a tin of rice pudding if I can fit it in after.

    I fancy a curry now Dustin!

    Evening all,

    Any news on the VLM'ers.... I didnt enter for next year as taking at least a year off from trying for a fast time at the distance, but may do a trail mara....

    4.4m progressive (7:57 / 7:33/ 7:01 / 6:39 / 2.39 (6;34 pace) not bad as was tight as anything before I started.

    Sep mileage was 171.7m, good progress being made image

    I'm also trying (very hard) to fall out of the habit of "G&T time". I kept waking up in the middle of the night, then being dog tired during the day. That's an admission. I've got my own battles to fight here.

    The "what" ended up as 6k

    The "why" was it included some fairly hard work on the hills (of HM Common) before the light gave way. 

    Another perfect evening for running, and worked pretty hard!

    Club session tonight.  Just a relay across the fields, went well after the pain went away!

    lmh, correct, no chance of me resting.  Stupid though it might be, I will run until I can't, if that makes any sense.
