Morning.
Lyrics - Jimmy Brown
Made of stone
I can't imagine running a mile that fast RFJ - well done.
Chilly and grey here this morning though forecast to get better for the weekend. Hope you've dried out Alehouse.
What: short and easy
Why: recovery
Last hard: being sensible this week
Last rest: 13/6
Comments
Great result RFJ, it just goes to show how deep we can dig even when we think we're stuffed.
LMH: I hope that your medical diagnosis helps identify a recovery process.
Me? Should have posted last night's run. Exactly the same route as Monday's dead leg drag, in which I posted an embarrassing PW (5.6 miles at 9m/m). A mere 24 hours later, and 5.6 miles at 7:50 m/m. Possibly a 2016 best pace for a training run.
Lyrics? no
What: swim at some point, maybe kayak this evening
why: weather half decent and it's swim-a-day
last hard: Monday
last rest: 30 July
lyrics: no
Nice when you get runs like that Blisters. Unfortunately not a new diagnosis just something that was identified in the report of an MRI that I had in January but hadn't seen until yesterday.
Good to hear that the weather has improved for you OH. It's coming out nice here now.
What: 2.15k
Why: short run before packing
Not flying until this evening so another museum day, given the drizzle.
Morning
Blisters - skills, decent paced run
RFJ - Well done, but I'm sure you can go faster, I'd expect you to be ahead of me at "racing weight"
I joke to my clubmates that out event should be weight graded not age graded.
LmH - You'd easily be sub 5:30 with a teeny bit of speedwork;-)
No idea about the medic thing but hopefully it doesn't slow you down!
Our club's mile race is under 4 weeks away, I don't think I'll be taking a PB as short specific training has been non-existant (I'll not count Saturday's efforts to run 400m reps)
what - steady miles
why - building blocks
last rest - 8 days
last hard - Sunday
morning guys
flying visit. Had a lovely week off last week helping my daughter with the new bubs and cleo, shattered mind you!
Did the ride London again, haven't entered ballot and didn't want to. It's far too busy and a minor of aggressive riders make it too dodgy for me!! I do love the route though. SO that ride completed my Iron man challenge and last week I really only did a 3.5 mile race, in 31 mins. Thats a solid run for me!
Ill catch up as I go along but hope all is good with you lovelies!
what: 40 lengths in the pool, oh yes I still am. POssible 5 k race this evening in the forest, I should shouldnt I?
why: getting back into it and fit before I go away next month
last hard: this morning was
last rest: yesterday
LMH hope all is ok re the diagnosis
Morning
Blisters: Nice run
RFJ: Great racing
LMH: Enjoy your short and easy
Em: How is your calf/achilles today?
What 10.38miles
Why :Summer is here
Last hard: Having no cake on a double run
Lyrics: No
I have lost another pound so 13 left to goal
Yesterday I ran 10 miles, today was to be 9 but ended up further and faster so that is good progress
Miles makes smiles.

Hello

Ale sounds like you're having a lovely holiday.
LMH I hope the new diagnosis goes somewhere.
RFJ remind me where you lived in Germany again?
Wabo how's the little one? Sounds like you're getting a lot done
Have a great day all
LMH yes I believe that even now you could do 5.45 ????
30 mins early and slow this morning.
On way to London for a follow up ref job head hunting. So going to view operation in the tunnels under London today. If anything else will be interesting
Lyrics - no
Yes you should Wabo!
It's not a new diagnosis as such, the consultant didn't mention it, I just saw it on the report and wanted to know more about it.
I've never seen a mile beginning with a 5! Speed isn't my forte
Sounds like we have a club of 3 to get to our goal weight Good luck Wabo and RFJ
Wabo: Good luck tonight!
Miles makes smiles.
Progression
Afternoon all,
RFJ: Nice mile!
LMH: You could go sub-6 easily with a bit of speed work.
I wish I only had 14lbs to loose
Have a good one!
Only if I didn't break Rocky.
#10 swim done during lunch hour.
Also 4-5 mile kayak this evening (weather less good)
Evenin' all.
Well done on yesterday's mile race, RFJ.
What: 15 miles, geese flew by, ever mocking...
Why: Wednesday.
Current Streak: Day 236
Lyrics: Nope.
