Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of advice please, I'm 41 male been running since I was in my mid 20s. I haven't run since August 2014 after I was involved in a accident and a car hit me while I was at a petrol station. Thing is after 2 knee OPS on my right knee my surgeon last night has given me the all clear to get running again. And has said my knee is in pretty good nick considering. I have had keyhole done twice once to remove damaged cartilage and second to remove more cartilage and Ive had 50% of my medial menisus removed. Its only 3 weeks since my last OP so I am doing the physio and am strengthening my quads and calf's. Am going to aim for mid Jan to get running again. Thing is I want to protect my knee as best I can so was just after any ideas as what's the best cushioned trainers to purchase, I am a neutral runner and have always had asics gel nimbus. Any advice would be great Thank you Simon.

How do you know you're neutral if you haven't been running since the ops? Your gait may have changed. Get yourself to a good independent running specialist for a full gait analysis and advice.
