I was into goth (especially Cure and the Sisters) back in the 80s and nothing they did can even touch the misery of Joy Division's Closer album. Not surprising since Ian Curtis offed himself afterwards but dear god, that's some depressing shit right there. Of course I loved it when I was18 or 19 and loved to wallow in my teenaged angst.

Good song, quite slow though. Not necessarily that miserable but probably good to listen to if you are.
For something goth that you can run to: The Cure - A Forest.
Oh boy, "Spy in the Cab" was grim - couldn't even listen to the end of that one did quite like "The Forest".
Mr. W - yep, I'd agree "Faith" is miserable :-)
Slowfoot - that was fantastic!
By miserable do you mean really bad, or songs that give out the feeling of complete lack of hope and desolation ?
If the latter then try some of these :
Dead Can Dance - Host Of Seraphim
Fields of the Nephilim - Celebrate
Sisters of Mercy - Amphetmaine Logic
Justin Bieber - U Smile (no seriously .. find the version slowed down 800% and enjoy).
Makes me smile.
Anyone ever check out My Dying Bride? Also complete misery.
How about throbbing gristle Hamburger Lady?
