Running shops near Leamington Spa?

As any of you who live there know, if you're in Leamington your options are JJB Sports and....no, wait, that's it.

So where (I'm thinking of Spa Striders here) do Leamington's *real* runners go to buy their shoes? Since I need some help choosing a pair, and help that knows what it's talking about would be a bonus =)

Anything that isn't in Brum or Coventry is preferred, but I'm open to suggestions.

Actually, while we're on the subject, anyone know of any good sports physios/podiatrists/foot injury people in the same area, too?

Despite your aversion to Brum, the Birmingham Runner is a good shop on the south east of the city, not far off the M42. Avoid Saturdays if you can as it can get pretty busy. They were very helpful when I last visited. For more details, see their ad in Runners' World.

I always use Birmingham Runner (I am based just outside Coventry). They are worth travelling to.

I also hear the shop in Warwick is very good, but don't have any personal experience.

And if you manage to find a decent podiatrist in or near Leamington, let me know!

The shop in Warwick is very good, its called Warwick Sports and has a specialist running section. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Ive used it and bought quite a lot of stuff from there before moving to Milton Keynes, have a look in the yellow pages for there address, its right in the centre of Warwick, just off Market Square,

Thanks for the assist, guys. Finally visited Warwick Sports today (was still injured when I asked - finally running again), where a very professional (and very busy!) staff fitted me up with a nice pair of Saucony Grid Praxis. Feel like foot gloves, weigh about half of my old "no-name" shoes and have just the right amount of support in just the right places. They didn't try and sell me anything I didn't want, and the only reason they didn't tell me how much all the shoes were is so I could buy them on fit alone. As it was, they were £65, which I consider to be a bargain.

So, hats off the guys at Warwick Sports. Definitely be going back there again :)
