Wednesday 3rd April - It's just gone noon, half past monsoon

DustinDustin ✭✭✭
Morning all

Today's lyric - It's just gone noon, half past monsoon

What - Lunchtime miles around the Isle of Dogs (or Wapping, or Mile End)
Why - Recovery
Last rest - 21/09
Last hard - yesterday: 5 x600s off 250m jog recovery
Typical Tuesday - torrential rain, but at least it was in daylight (well, murky grey misery...)
Reasonably consistent but horrible in that weather.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: not today

Yesterday's: John Denver with Take Me Home, Country Roads.

What: more stretches plus exercise bike

Why: rather limited in what I can do!

Sounds like you worked hard, Dustin!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning

Enjoy the recovery Dustin - hopefully dry today.  You have a nice streak still going.

Are the shoes the first thing you pack for going away Els?  Enjoy the knitting.

Seems a very strict regime Ale.  I would seriously struggle on that.

1000 for the year sounds like a good target Wabo.

Nice to have a race to look forward to Straycelt.

    Keep up that consistency Pammie.

Decent group out yesterday - 5 and a bit others - one returnee missed the current meeting time and ran the same loop a bit later - I met him cycling home - he knows when to turn up now.

    What: mat, hometrainer
    Why: running rest day
    Last rest: today

    Lyrics: no

SC, you have probably missed that I am injured.  A bad one! Tore a hamstring tendon in February.  Will take a considerable time to heal. Having some PRP injections to help, starting tomorrow.  Really looking forward to that...not!

Managed a slow 2.8 mile jog yesterday.

Today I contacted Trading Standards (Scotland) regarding  van repair and learnt the meaning of the legal phrase "time is of the essence" ...
Letter should be received by the garage tomorrow.

Walk and Aqua walk this morning.
Went along to badminton this evening to find no one there. (Hadn't been there last week and obviously had been cancelled tonight).
As I was heading back home again, I got persuaded to join a group of 3 relative youngsters to make up a 4 for doubles. So trip wasn't wasted and I managed to up my game and hold my own. Didn't know the 2 guys and a girl but we knew each other's faces from Pilates and parkrun.

    Lyrics not today.
