16 or 20 miler-please help

I am in a quandary. Have been following a RW improvers schedule. Am aiming to run m'thon in 5hours, but the week that I would need to do a 20miler (March 27th) there are no races doing this distance, so I thought I would do it the week before, as there is the
However the week before, there is the Worthing 20. This clashes with the Kingston Breakfast run though, which is down the road from where I live and is supposed to be an excellent course, but I just don't think I can manage 20 miles without it being in a race capacity.
I ran FLM in 2003, and know that mentally it really helps if you have raced in a 20miler. I really don't know what the best thing is to do.
Any suggestions?
