The battery on the bike is a 12V 8Ah, can't get it to start, no other bike to jump-start off, so is a car battery comparable in terms of voltage and ampage?
managed to rip the cover off my bro's scoot (it has a lock - but he's lost the key), I got the battery out and jump-started my bike with his battery. Bike wouldn't start with either battery on its own (my battery's wrecked and my bro's is only 6V), but with the two in parallel was working fine. So went up to my attic, got some household electrical wire and connected the two, putting my bro's battery in the main under-seat storage compartment and duck-taped the wire between the two onto the side of the bike until I can get a new battery (won't be until Wednesday as its a public holiday over here Saturday->Tuesday)
yep, unfortunately 12V is not 12V regardless of source - my bike's battery is 12V @ 8A (96W), but if I hooked it up to a 12V @80A (960W) there might be some flames and a toasted electrical system!!

I wouldnt RR but I'm no expert , wont it bump start ?
Or is it one of those moped things
Steady , I thought there would be a few more wiggly amps from a car battery compared to a bike ?
