there has been talk (intermittently, over the past 2 years or so) about an expedition to the Levis double ironman in Quebec in 2008
that year was fortuitously a good choice - levis is getting the IUTA double iron world champs next year, and it coincides with quebec's 400th anniversary celebrations, so they are putting on a big festival
the double is something else; all the athletes are treated like VIPs, and the race itself is apparently great (swim downstream in the st lawrence river, well supported)

it's the 4th july weekend - obv clashes with lots of people's calendars (Nice etc) but would be great if others could come along
