I need to buy a new pair of shoes (alas, the holes in the uppers of mine are too big to ignore and are now getting embarrassing). My last couple of pairs have been asics so I'll stick with the brand. I had some DS 10s, then the latests pair are 2130s (or similar number)!
Can anyone recommend some great shoes out at the moment? Plus can anyone point me towards a bargain anywhere?
Resent spending upwards of £90 on something I'll be replacing again in 8 months...

Doesn't really matter what other people wear, the important thing is that you get the best shoes for you. Get to a proper running shop, have your gait analysed and try on all the shoes that they suggest. Then, if it turns out that you are lucky enough to have a choice, pick the ones that suit you/your wallet etc best.
I could recommend the shoes that I wear, but as I'm a heavy over-pronator, wear custom-made orthotics and have had surgery on one foot, while they suit me, they may not be right for you, so your best bet is to concentrate on the ones that are right for you.
Hi Bunches,
I am a great fan of Asics,
If you are looking for more cushioning but need the support, the Kayanos are great. I buy mine online (because it's cheaper) although having said that, I did buy my last pair from Sweatshop, in a sale!
I have run in the 21** series for a long time and I found the transition to the Kayanos a good one.
I am a male though (5'10" , 73kg) and hit the ground quite heavily, hence the need for cushioning. My right foot pronates a little too much, hence the need for stability.
Your requirements may be a little different.
Hope this helps

Good if you know your size.
Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look over the weekend.
