lumps on shin ???

have been running about 5 months nom and have noticed apart from all the other aches and pains !!!!
a small bubble on my shin and I have another now to match and even things up on the other shin in the same place nice to even things up !!!
if I flex my leg the bubble appears its not sore but looks a bit odd after the run the bubble sticks out any advice thnks

never noticed them b4 running
the other is not as big yet but is starting to appear in exact same place on opposite leg
looks like a small bubble pea size
if i push my finger where it is ,there is what feels like a hole behind it ??

You could prob Google it and find out all sorts of stuff, but here's my version;
Essentially, you can get weakness in bits of muscle fascia for various reasons, including injury or just where a vein happens to pass through. On exercise, when the muscle swells a bit it can bulge through. It doesn't do any harm if it's painless, though sometimes they can hurt, particularly the smaller ones. The treatment for painful ones is to make the hole bigger! (Otherwise, closing the hole by sewing it up could just raise the pressure in the muscle compartment, causing what's known as a compartment syndrome).
So, bottom line is to ignore it if it doesn't hurt!

just was a bit of a worry when the other one started to appear in the same spot I thought some thing weird was happening to me!!

Agree with the responses as well I had these appear when I started playing rugby for the school team way back in 1985......................
Still running now and still no problems
