Spinning Shoes

I was just wondering if anyone knew much about Spinning Shoes. I've been looking into them a bit on the Internet but still have a few questions. I assumed that cleats would come with them as with bike shoes they normally come with the pedals but obviously with spin shoes you won't buy pedals, the pictures I've seen don't show the cleats. I've then seen cleats listed for sale separately and the look just like the ones on for my Shimano MTB pedals, if this is the case could I just use my MTB shoes ? Do Spin bikes have a universal pedal or is there different ones and if so, how would you know which cleats fit ? Thanks.

Spin Bikes only accept SPD cleats, which are mainly used on Mountain bikes and Spin Bikes.

Most Road Shoes will not accept SPD cleats, so you would need to look for either Mountain Bike Shoes, Commuter Shoes or Triathlon Shoes.

All Cycling Shoes tend to come without cleats or pedals. So you would need to purchase thems seperatley, but they are relative cheap online.

I use a pair of Specialised Triathlon shoes that I got from Evans Cycles for 79 pounds, perfect for spinning.

Great, thanks. So my normal MTB shoes with cleats from Shimano pedals should work ?
