I have running shorts - they have 3-5 elasticised pockets on the back depending on which version you choose, plus 2 side pockets - no bounce (aside from the parts of me that bouce)
It's a pocket belt, not for carrying bottles... something like this, but not this specific one.. I've had it for about 10 years, so its an older design... but top quality and has lasted all these years...
On the subject of belts , can I just say I haven't found any I feel happy wearing either , I always try and carry as little as possible but anything I do have to carry always starts to irritate me ,
i was planning to invade London early next month , prob for a long weekend on the 11th to the 14th and I'm looking to do at least one race and maybe a LSR
the choice is the garmin Kingston run challenge on the Sunday , the white city 10km on the Saturday or the resolution run on the Sunday
thoughts please on what one best and easiest to get to for a shy Scottish boy who doesn't speak cockney !!
Scott don't be dark mate, I'm away that weekend doing the great west run in Exeter With Trev O and a couple of running buddies outside the BCRC.... If u do come on the Friday, I'm dragging you along as my groupie / roadie to my friends 40th on the 11th and u can crash back at mine. my train to Exeter is on the Saturday.
Scott, I did Kingston last year when it was run by Wholefoods. It's ok.... pretty good start, took literally 20 seconds to get going; the bit by the river is pretty but then it goes off through the houses with no road closures so you constantly have to check when crossing side streets etc which I found annoying - a 2 lap course (I did the 16 mile one) so once you've seen it once etc... and given a mug at the end. It was good as a training run but not much more!
Rob - I've got a Nathan Speedbelt. Holds two 300ml bottles and has a smartphone sized pouch at the back and a key sized pocket at the front. Velcro fastening and very comfortable.
Scott - I agree with Suzy about Kingston - I've done a few races around there and it's nice beside the river but it does get a bit trafficky elsewhere. Don't know anything about the White City one, although the website suggests it involves 3 laps of Wormwood Scrubs .
On balance, I'd say Hyde Park is probably the most interesting, as well as being easily accessible. And RS and I can tell you where to get a pizza and a bucket of gin afterwards.
Scott - I have become wise in come cockney ways. I was toying with the idea of London then but if you're heading down I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday. I'll run anything!
I'm not sure about that... he had 6hrs of being surrounded by a bunch of drunk women! I'm surprised he didnt have a migraine! There's a few on facebook that are just as risque ;0)
It was a delightful day, spent in the countryside in the company of a group of women who can appreciate a fine wine or two (or three) and like a bit of marathon running - what's not to love about that?
Am going to be in that London on the evening of Wednesday 18th Sept. Would any of the London massive like to get together either for a run or a meal out (or both)?

You're way too kind. You missed the bit of having to carry one of the girls

Aii Scott..Which month? October? Oui?
Yer maj - I'm shocked that you think I'm not a shy Scottish boy , ok I'm not that shy and I'm no longer a boy , but I am Scottish !!
Jimbob - I'm Scottish ill never be dark in my life , or is that cockney slang for something ?
I checked the race calender so I knew the GWR was on
Suzy - ill only be treating the whole weekend as a training run
Emmy - October aye , the week after the great Scottish run probably
Scott - I wondered about 'don't be dark' but then I wondered if it could be an autocorrect for don't be daft ?
Lwa - I just got a new belt and it's fab! Ultraspire quantum. I wear it on hips and didn't move a bit.

If the Caledonian Massive are coming down to that there London when I'm away I will throw my toys out the pram big time styley
It's a mini invasion jimbob , a prelude to a take over at some other unnamed date and time of our choosing
RR - three laps of the famous scrubs ,it's world famous
, the garmin run sounded dull anyway so it's looking like the resolution run
Scott - I have become wise in come cockney ways. I was toying with the idea of London then but if you're heading down I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday. I'll run anything!
that's great news rob , Its looking like the resolution run on the sunday at 11:00 it's only a 15km though , but they have pizza and gin close by !
Ciaran - first time anyone's ever been jealous of me
