Emmy - you are always a woman not to be messed with, as evidenced by you going all T1000 during Berlin and hunting down the villain. Hope the furry lad is ok
Mennania - welcome. I thought we might be without a preferential this year - as Denis hasn't popped up. Thanks for filling the space.
60 on the list! I'm going to need a better computer.
This morning I ran a in a race called "Sovev Emek", a hilly trail run mainly for ultra runners with distances from 12k to 166k. The 166k started yesterday morning and the 100k around lunchtime. I chose to run just the 21k as this is the distance that I have reached in my marathon training programme. The course has accumulated climbs of 350m. Not too bad but by the end it was about 28C which made for an added difficulty. My training runs indicated that I would run around 2h 10m but I got caught up in the excitement and completed the course in 1h 59m which was very pleasing. I even stayed on my feet the whole way round although I nearly stumbled a few times. I finnished 82nd out of 220 that ran this distance.
Weedy - I am still alive....said in Sepulchral Tones....
Hi new people - Mennania you are one of the P&D running machines, non?
I have exciting work news....well exciting for me anyway....I am about to jump into partnership with another local IFA, so I need to start being sensibe, grownup and businesslike. Send help....
Almost the weekend so big shout out to everyone racing, best of luck Dannirr, can't wait to read the official race report!
Weedy, you want the A9 to Inverness via Perth. You can stop off at my Mum's for cake, she's a grand baker. Can you put me down for 10 Nov 18k Stade Français Course nature (in the wood of death aka Bois de Boulogne). There better be some nice rugby players to ogle at.
Ooh, YM being sensible, please don't go down that route ;-)
Oh and welcome to the newbies. I'm another exiled Caledonian Massive. Even further south than RR, I'm in Gay Paree ... so it's just a short train ride away for me.
YM - Not as fanatical as most when it comes to the schedule, I kinda follow it with my own shuffle around due to too much work, too much cba, too much booze n all that . This time though I do intend to be a little more robust in its execution, but not machine like, unless the machine is a 1970s chevete.
Glad to here it that Pnd is well received here. We can stress enmasse when it comes to 22 with 15 at mp etc. Take it that the RW spreadsheet for PnDers is well distributed then? quality xls clobber.
I will be one of the flag wavers too along with two dedicated little supporters!
Inverness - bloody hell we only get one flight there apparently at 8am daily and there is no flight from here on a Saturday, so unless i can get friday off work I will be having a boat trip and drive
I am yet to seriously start the P&D having received it earlier this week. I opened it on a very technical page which talked about mitochondrians (is that not a Star Wars thing?!) and then I quickly shut it again.
KS - I bought it just after Paris and started reading it but as I wasnt training for anything particular I thought I would wait. Going away next week so planning to get my head round it then in view of hopefully training for next spring.
benignmurmurring - The Stool is indeed a hallowed item.
It was created by Radar Sal and is flown at all of the best races.
It was in such demand for appearances that she worked her fingers to the bone creating a whole wave of alternative stools.
In this picture, taken at a gathering of the Stools at the Berlin Marathon we can see three of the Stools.
From Left to right: The Stool (the original Stool in the correct Bristol colours), The LiverStool (red and white with Liver Bird legs) and the Orkney Stool (In the colours of the Orkney flag)
Keep your eyes open at races, you never know when you may spot one.

Hi Mennania
Yer Maj - how's it going?

Lots of P&D fans on this thread. Robust Execution Plans have led to a sub Enclave of Sub 4 Or Die-ers....
If I die, I wish to be buried with my copy of P&D, shrouded in my Stool Flag.
Glad to here it that Pnd is well received here. We can stress enmasse when it comes to 22 with 15 at mp etc. Take it that the RW spreadsheet for PnDers is well distributed then? quality xls clobber.
Good luck to all this weekend!
Welcome new folks.

Mennania, meet TD. TD, Mennania. I think you will get on....
Spreadsheet? I don't have a spreadsheet, where can I get my grubby little fingers on it??
It is more obsessive PnD geek porn than a spreadsheet PM me with an email if you would like a copy.
I am yet to seriously start the P&D having received it earlier this week. I opened it on a very technical page which talked about mitochondrians (is that not a Star Wars thing?!) and then I quickly shut it again.
O wise ones, where do I start please?
Oooooh Geek Porn. Show me the way, baby....
Mennania - have messaged you.
KS - I bought it just after Paris and started reading it but as I wasnt training for anything particular I thought I would wait. Going away next week so planning to get my head round it then in view of hopefully training for next spring.
I, too, now have a copy of P&G * insert snigger, here..* A fun weekend, all round..
YM - what is this Stool Flag you speak of? Is it linked to the Bristol Stool Chart?
Why yes, it is....
Poo on a flag?
Pooing on the flag would be frowned upon...
Welcome to the new folks - our numbers are swelling every day, which is great. 60 and counting.
Good luck to all those racing this weekend. I am looking forward to this weekend off after three on the trot . I might dust down the old P&D.
!! would never suggest such practises YM only trying to imagine how your flag related to the BSChart. Apologies if it is a hallowed item

Yes, we're a bit mad but we do have a laugh.
Hallowed? See, DLR....
oh, and I think there are about 10 flags in all, from places as far flung as Australia, Atlanta, Belgium, France, Scotland & Yorkshire
And Wales
The belgian stool will be travelling to koeln this weekend... am just trying to dig out the team shirt...
