dr nic - i certainly need all the help/tips i can get. was quite confident till i went for a TI lesson. lost it since then. only thing i've improved is my buoyancy.
but, i don't need help in the surviving OW sense. am happy and confident in the water - just slow.
Tri Tractor - well if you want to get help then you'll either want to book pool lessons or lessons at whatever lake you swim at. Richard Stannard does them at his lake, I think Rick Kiddle (is that what he's called?) does them at Heron Lake...
that was nice, wasn't too cold, or at least wasn't as cold as i remember it being first time last year. bacon sarnies were perhaps even better than last year.
seemed okay although it was surprisingly easy to get on and off, and it did have a gallon of water in it when I took it off! Don't think it's quite as tight as it could be.
