Just read your blog and I can't believe you are coached by Lawrence, especially since I live just down the road from him in Rotorua, NZ! He is a great coach and has sorted my swim stroke out so I have nothing but praise for him.
I'm sure you will do us all proud - just by getting there is awe-inspiring knowing how much you have put into it.
Hi, leaving for Heathrow tomorrow, will have the laptop and will be blogging and reading posts, I have just pinched a thread post from Tri Talk below for those not in the know for what to do to get the viewing sorted.
Sat 10th October 6pm UK time.

Hawaii is 11 hours behind so 6pm kick off. Lots of adverts for big Ford trucks, lots of commentator banter, a few shots of Chrissie
after several years practice I have this in the bag, you do it this way
6pm-8pm: 2 hour turbo while watching it on one computer, with TT chatroom open on second computer 8pm: go for a shower 8.10pm: crack open first beer, type stuff repeat repeat repeat repeat 11pm: fall asleep on the sofa with tongue hanging out 2am: wake because of late night hangover tune in and watch Craig Alexander finish & take 2 paracetamol 3am: watch Chrissie finish, drink a large glass of water, say night night to the hard core stay up late TT massive, job done
pmsl, sounds about what happened last year for me, not this year though. I will be in touch x

Cheers all, I have just sent this out to a few friends and family, copied here in case people have missed the times etc and that IMUK is on this Sunday morning. Thanks for the best wishes and texts, man some people are up 'really' early but I knew that anyway, the hardcore trainers put me to shame haha. Right, just getting on the rollers.
For those that are already aware I fly out Saturday to Hawaii, for those that aren’t its to take part in the World Championships in Kona for Ironman Triathlon. Just a short note to thanks those for their support already and let you know how you can follow the race if you are an insomniac or have nothing better to do a week Saturday evening inbetween Strictly and X Factor !!! I am currently blogging weekly and this will change to daily this week when I arrive, you can find this on http://nickrose33.blogspot.com/ feel free to leave messages of support, abuse will be sorted out when I get back J, I am also on Twitter on www.twitter.com/ironrosey if you are a social hound and slave to the tweeting hoards. By logging onto http://ironmanlive.com on Saturday 10th October it will take you to the live streaming of the race, up until then it will probably redirect you to the ironman.com site. Hawaii is 11 hours behind so 6pm kick off. Lots of adverts for big Ford trucks, lots of commentator banter, a few shots of Chrissie Wellington
My number is 1245 and if you should catch a glimpse of the pirate yellow and skull /crossbones you’ll be very privileged, they don’t tend to focus on us normos unless we are being overtaken by the pro’s on the way back !!
Thanks again for the support already and hope to be coming back with a finish and a respectable time, its taken long enough to get there, the least I can do is enjoy every minute J
And for those interested, the race I qualified at, Ironman UK will be televised on this Sunday, morning of the 4th October, the schedule says 7.20am, the emails we have received say 7.50am, whatever it is, set the Sky boxes now, the winner, Phil Graves is only 20 and it was his first, one to watch in Kona ! and you might get to see me too lol

Rosey - I think that will be the key to the event. ENJOY IT - you have earnt it. Finish must be the priority, there are NO Kona slots available here.
