Blue Peter smacked the course, well up till the last 10K anyway, he said last night that he is now selling his bike
Top bombing fella
SlimShady had vomitting for the last 10K, he still didn't know he would finish even with just half a mile a left, well done mate
Colourin kept us on pins all day and with 10 minutes till the fireworks this figure came power walking up the hill to get a finish, amazing well toughed out
gutted for Hokori and Slag, both pulled on the bike
Special mention to deca Dave, he came off his bike on thw switch backs down from Haria, dislocated his shoulder, got back on his bike finished the bike and was looking to finish the run all strapped up ala Crashie, hope you got there.
It was a pleasure to be out supportig on the island
Hard hard hard day at the office. Physically and mentally the hardest thing I've ever done. Amazing course and support but unbeleivably tough bike. Full race report to come but most of time will now be spent eating and drinking in the all inclusive for a week!!
Special thank you to Little Clown, SA, Mrs SA for fantastic support on the course, top pirating!!
and well done Slim and Cal for finishing, tough for the guys who missed out, it was a feckin hard day!

BP glad you got through mate, nice to put a face to a name. well done guys, the strap yourself up for the run part sounds nails... Very good effort. So anyway, next year then!
Bike - nothing in the legs from El Golfo. Passed by loads of people - muttered "sh!t swimmer" to each of them as they passed
Stopped for a picnic at the special needs on Haria. Cheese Sarnie, Pringles, Red Bull and Oreos to finish.
Nice view at top of Mirador.
Still getting passed by loads of people on way back.
160K in.. fast descent into PdC - right hand bend... wind picked up just a tthe wrong point and... ran out of road... into the lava, front wheel dug in and flew over the bars

Good effort pirates, it's one of those to tick off
greatest to respect to all the pirates out there, even the dnf as I know that it is too tough a course for me, well done.
No Race reports yet?
Its tragic, come on, we need reports
It's a big one I think
quick race report.
Dave...that is the shortest so far.
I came, I fell off it hurt
why cant I post a reply? "please enter a review or comment before posting"
I've read more involved reports…
Right I'm back...race report to follow very soon
third time lucky!
training - averaged under 3 hours a week since Xmas. (Work / Injuries (achilles), CBA syndrome)
Arrived well undertrained, but well rested. Did longest bike of the year (65 miler) on the Sunday before the race.
did a swim on the tuesday just to make sure the wetsuit still fitted and see how much black witch I needed to plug the holes!
So race day...
Swim - 01:09 - more than happy with that

i know you can only type one handed Dave but i think you are missing some of your race report
spent quite a bit of time assessing things.
cuts, grazes to my arms and legs and my shoulder was a bit "hurty"
managed to climb up the hill I fell down back onto the road. Somehow the bike was still in one piece.
had fun trying to get the chain back on one handed - but evenutally managed to remount and ride one handed back into T2
Bike 7:48.
T2 - 36 minutes - 30 of which were in the Med Tent.
Stitches inserted, temporary sling applied. cleaned up most of the blood.
Run kit on (with help from the volunteers who tied my laces as I couldnt!)
temporary sling put on. and off onto the "run"
steady out lap to the first turn point. Shoulder didnt hurt if I took it steady.
So I took it steady.
Great support from everyone, including the pirates out on the course.
Run - 5:40ish.
Total 15:22:21 - which is my slowest single IM to date.
Chapeau.
