not sure of the level of the debate's quality on the BBC site though: see this comment from one poster:
Any fool can cover 26.2 miles given long enough. Most walk, most of the way. How else can they do outside 4 hours?
any slower than 6 mph is walking? I am confused....

Can't argue with that. Although unlike him, I see nothing wrong in it.
