Boo - it turns out I've applied and been rejected four and not five times (phoned them up). The woman said 'oh well, only another year to go!'. Fingers crossed for the ballot.

I got second letter too.  Bad luck Princess, that was me last year - hope you get a place in the ballot.

I've only had one letter confirming my place, but actually was rejected a sixth time last year - (name change and adderss chenge) and had made the mistake of donating my entry fee so they wanted me to pay a second entry fee, or return the jacket (which I had worn).  In th end it was all such a faff , and I was injured anyway, that I didn't bother.

Some folks do get accepted in the ballot - I've applied intermittently since 1990 and been accepted once... last year was the first time I had 5 consecutive applcations and rejections to offer.

5 years is a blooming long time to wait !!!!

I rang FLM today to check I DID have 5 rejections and felt quite wierd when the guy confirmed it
