Go into 'my forum' and have to keep opening notifications tab.
All threads in there are showing as having new posts - presumably I need to empty my cache to get rid of that.
Why can't I get into long standing threads from 'my forum' without getting a RSOD? It's ok if there's been a recent post but if not I've got to trawl thro' the pages till I find it. Perhaps I'll just have to bookmark everything.
Thanks Poorly Feet. I think the tomatoes might be red eyes (not sure really) but anyway when I hover over them it says that the site editor is temporarily highlighting this thread.
Not sure about the 'busiest thread' bit. One of the ones shown has about 28 posts and the last one was in Mid-October. How busy is that?
I was responding to PM's post but generally meant it is naive if you think people aren't lurking. Just look at the FLM thread -how many people posted there who had never posted before and at what speed ?
People are obviously lurking all over the place. I go into a thread, have a little read, realise I have nothing to add and leave again. We all do it, nothing wrong with it either.
Why not have a little bit on the side of the page "people logged onto this thread" or even people logged onto the site?
Dan - I've just looked at the discussions that I've started (well some of them). They only show one more having viewed than posted which isn't right so..... does that feature only work from now, as the long runnineads are going to show innacurate viewings.......
Not sure whether anyone has asked this already......
How do you get smilies if using Safari on a Mac??
If you type the text equivalents, they'll show up when you submit the message. We think that a coming-soon version of the message editor we use will be compatible with Safari

I'm getting really ticked off now.
I think the font is the right size now - it's certainly larger
Still can't quote though

That's valid FF. Not the one above so much as the one about lurkers.
It would be good to be able to see who is reading what thread. others forums tell you who is currently on line so it must be possible
Just asume people lurk. You're stupid if you think they don't
Sorry.
Bit aggressive
Bit drunk
arrgh
can't we just have an ASCII version?
Thanks for that Welsh Alex - that sounds a useful tool. I use Hotmail so will have to see if it works.
Sounds like the busy threads bit needs a bit of refining but that's not really important right now because...
MY FONT IS NOW THE RIGHT SIZE AGAIN
Thanks Dan and the tecchies - what a way to start a Sunday
ooh so it is
Pig.
Who is stupid?
Me I think FF.
I think she's had a drink last night and doesn't mean anything buy it

No I don't mean stupid as in 'stupid'

Well my font still looks like an Eye-chart from an over-zealous optician. I'll have to read abck to see how to adjust this !!
I just clicked on the 'help' link at the top right corner and it told me:

Not very helpful, I'd say!
