Just read some of the pages of this Thread. Loads of work happening. Keep the good work up. I'll be there to support you but not sure where at this point. Am waiting for details. I will let you know.
BTW, I think your next task after the Moonwalk is to construct a 33 girlie person octopus outfit for FLM 2004. We can then beat the blooming 10 man caterpillar.
Ok - seriously do we have to wear black leggings? Cos I have to say was looking forward to wearing the hotpants - not many more times in my life when I will get away with wearing them!!!!!!!!!!!
apart from Nella, is anyone else marshalling, and if you so have you heard from the race organisers? I had a call a few weeks ago (and I'm on roughly the same 'duties' as Nella) but I haven't had any confirmation of where, what time etc.
Scampermouse, As far as I know, the organisers will be sending out all the information we will need, before the due date - hopefully! They assured us at the briefing, that this would include detailed instructions for us so we would be aware of what would be required of us, eg.the marshalling stints could be as short as 2 hours, or as long as 5.5hrs.
Hope this helps. Call Gemma if you need anymore info, they are very helpful. I don't have the number to hand, sorry.
Playtex city is HUGE ,will hold all 15000 of you should it rain... so definitely big enough to meet inside. There will be a stage set up against one of the walls from where the 'formal' entertainment will take place. A meeting point at one of the stage's corners might be workable. There will also be a 'food' area within the marquee which could be used similarly.
I agree with PP, the emphasis was definitely on having as comfortable, safe and enjoyable experience as possible. Party atmosphere will reign!
Thanks NN, I gave them a ring and they said that the info is on its way - I didn't know that there had been any sort of briefing so I wrongly presumed that you knew you'd be in Kensington because you'd had your stuff through already.
I'm really looking forward to this! Perhaps we can all swap some mobile numbers or something to try to meet up before and sya hello (if they let me out of the kitchen)
I'm probably travelling by coach from Brum in the afternoon, wearing my Moonwalk T-shirt as outerwear - I shall then wear it at the conference on Monday to try to extract sponsorship from the organisers and delegates.

What do you think?
Maybe they will make me walk with just my thong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help me! I have one week to get sorted!
Are you all wearing fairy wings and tutu's?
Off to buy dye and beg mum to do my bra!
Ta for the tip off BTW, I am now equipped with another two. I hope we don't clash, that would be most embarassing!
"You wear whatever you feel most comfortable in"
I then said but mine are luminous orange and yellow stripes and she repeated the above.
They want us to get round comfortably without the chafing etc so multi-coloured pants here I come.
You'll be bringing liquid refreshment I hope?

Put the walking gear on just before the off........
OK, kidding, I'll keep the tutu in a bag until I'm inside Playtex City
What time do we aim to get there? Pix I suggest we leave Reading at 5ish? - or earlier if we meet up for a pre-walk drinkie / pep talk?!
If we're writing our names on ourselves is it real names or forum names?
Pix could you make a few of those laminated signs?
