As I only did the half I have had no excuse not to run. Did my 15 mile route on Sunday some 8 mins quicker than I have done before. I've got a 5k race tonight but it will be cold and blowy according to the forecast
five miles for me at marathon pace no less. went quickly 'into the zone' and could have carried on, probably cause my mind and body recognised it and just went, 'come on then weve been here before'. Again could feel that heavy feeling afterwards so will only do 3 runs this week, any excuse to skyve me
Thanks everyone I did 3:51 in Amsterdam and 3:56 in Dublin and even though Dublin had some hills in I found it really easy course, I ran with my friend who wanted to do under four hours as it was her first marathon but then lost her at 17 so I carried on at my own pace I felt great, she managed 4:08 which is a fantastic time I blubbed when she crossed the finish line I was just so glad to see her. Really great marathon to do.
Edinburgh I think is the next and will try hard to get the 3:45 time fingers crossed.
I am pretty positive there was a small bit of road with cobbles. But mostly smooth paths along the river, and I found myself running down the tram lines. It was great. I loved this marathon!!!

I wore my Dam T shirt down the pub on Sunday, certainly got good comments, though no one put sunglasses on.
Though , of course that maybe because they didn't bring them.
Did another run this morning, just 5 miles. Though kept on having to slow myself down.
Hurray i did the Dublin marathon really chuffed with 3:56 as my legs was tired after Amsterdam . No more running for a week now.
