Anyone else watch Ninja Warrior on Challenge TV?
If you haven't seen it - it is kind of a cross between a serious athletic competition and It's A Knockout.
It's a Japanese show originally called Sasuke and is basically a big obstacle course in four stages. The UK version has Stuart Hall commentating. The competitors are a mix of serious athletes, C-list Japanese celebrities trying to get their five minutes of fame and who fall off at the first obstacle and a few characters such as the Octopus Man who are only there for their comedy value.
Each stage is a serious of obstacles. if you make one mistake you are out of the competition. Stages one and two are against the clock and test mainly speed and agility and strength. Stage three requires massive upper body strength. And stage four is a 30 second sprint - vertically.
Only about 10-20% of people make it through stage one and in 10 years only two people have completed all four stages.
Anyway, it's the only thing worth owning a TV for honest!

This is Nagano on YouTube completing all four stages and making it look easy.
LOL.
Well obviously, I am watching Japanese TV.
Go, go Nagano - is he the fisherman who does the pull-ups etc on the rigging of the fishing boat ?
Makes me chuckle that the Western gymnasts that show up (the Hann twins) struggle - but the local fishermen and firemen all do well cos they've built their own course at home.
