I'm not actually running on Saturday as too much admin to do on the day and the beer tent is too tempting (Well that's my excuss, but I did run 5 miles yesterday to prove I can do it!)
SOunds like we'll be in very good comapny!!! I would like to order at least 10 pints after the finish line however, I think I'll pass on the half way stage and I very much like the idea of crawl stagger!!! R
Entries on the day accepted (Register in the Village Hall) but it's another £1. So far have had 255 entries and expecting around 100 on the day, only have 350 medals, so you better run fast to get one! (Only joking will get some more if need be or what about a free beer instead?!)
I'll settle for the free beer if push comes to shove!!! HOpe that the rain holds off, been out to run in the forest (Epping) tonight and call it boggy would be the understatement of the week - NEW SHOES!!!! See you Saturday hangovers etc permitting - I'll pass the pint on the way round but will DEFINITELY be there for one/many afterwards and yes indeedy - signing up could be agreeable!!!
And can someone elnighten me to the exact nature of a down down? SOunds like part of a rather bad status quo song.... If there's beer or pork scratchings involved it sounds good otherwise I'll withold judgement and as for the meddles - I hope you have enough for bravery to go round!!! Me and Jen will definintley want one each, but then again, beer talks... Hey ho - see you soon! Rachel the drinker with the running problem..I do like that slogan...
Well I'd be honored. In the meatime GET THOSE MEDALS HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!!!! Jelly babies (red ones) or pints (Adnams Broadside) will be accepted as substitutes.. :-)
well i have one deffo post rugby dinner recruit joining me now and another one thinking about it. off to by my pre race alka seltzer today - doesn't count as a banned substance does it?!
Hurrah!!! 3KG of jeppy babies and ALL FOR ME!!!!! Here's to the weather drying out a bit for tomorrow but then again, I won't be dired out so why worry?? See one and all tomorrow, here's to that beer at the half way stage...I wish someone would tell me what a down down actually is.... R
Many thanks to the organisers on Saturday. Had a brilliant time on the run despite hangover from hell and no sleep from night before. Will definitely be along for next years. Sorry I didn't make it to the pub after but was feeling a little delicate!
Thanks to all involved we really enjoyed the run and Jenny didn't stop either, getting round in 53 minutes - she was delighted and had a lot of fun and I dod too - would be lovely to run around with you all at some time soon!!! Rachel and Jenny and yes, we did have beer half way round!!! :-)
