Did a long run on Friday and inside of my shins have been aching since,is this shin splints and what can i do to overcome them, keep running or stop, any exercises that will help
The only cure as far as I recall is rest. Run your thumb up and down the sore bit, which should be on the shin bone, and it will prob feel like bubble wrap under the skin. Usually shin splints if they are not too bad will go after a couple of miles but beware, when they are bad you can be off-roaded for ages.

Check your trainers are right for you.
Hey!
If your shin splints become chronic I would recommend acupuncture. It really worked for me, although it wasn't pleasant.
I hope it is just a one off.
