Can't say I plame you, Kazz , it took nearly 3 hours for the nurse to get from Dorchester to Poole hospital for a clinic this morning - even though we had no snow here!
No snow in Houston although it is a little chilly, forecast to be 0 deg tomorrow for my 6 am run, yet it was 76 deg yesterday!!
Caught up on two ITT yesterday, I thought Bruce was actually quite good with Claudia, he is quite a good interviewee.
I think the 'nicest' showdance will be James & Pamela as I guess it is going to be more ballroom, though it might not be the best. My gut feeling is that Matt & Aliona's is going to be the most entertaining and Artem & Kara the most technical/acrobatic?
I am sooooo soooooo hoping for Matt to win and will be disappointed if he doesn't but I do feel that they all deserve it.
I used to do pink champagne and smoked salmon for the Strictly final, keeping the pink theme, not sure what we'll do tomorrow.
There is a thread on DS entitled BBC Breakfast, there are links on there to this mornings programme with clips of all the showdance training - eek. Can't do proper links on my mac, worth popping across for a look. Keep out of some of the other threads though - the vitriol ...
I think Pamela's will be good but perhaps a little safe. Matt's should be good.
Kara is the one that could vary. I think it will either be stunning or will miss the mark entirely. Artem really must give her a chance to dance and not spend all his time lifting her because the girl can dance.
I have missed their choice of other dances, Surely Kara should reprise her Argentine tango because that was outstanding, I think it is their highest scored dance, their favourite dance, a dance they haven't done yet and the showdance.
If anybody knows what the couples are doing could they post it.
Well I can honestly say I will vote on the night as I see it because i wouldn't be disappointed with any of these winning it.
My favourite has been Kara, and that was somewhat from the beginning when she was undermarked I thought. However she does tend to have errors at times so lets see what happens.
Their two previous dances should really be reprises and sort of make no real difference unless they really make a hash of it.
A brand new standard dance goes give room for error though. In that sense I think Kara has an advantage as you can't really mess a waltz up so the only risk is it being bland but i can't see that happening.
Pamela is definitely more ballroom biased so an Argentine tango might not suit her but lets see. I think Matt should do a good Paso but I might be wrong and it might not suit.
I assume they will do these three and then drop one on votes with a head to head on Show Dance.
That dance invariably decides the overall winner and as I said before they will choreograph to the celeb's strengths. However the professional really has to get it right here as well.
I'm ill Headache, sore throat, congestion and nasty cough
We don't have any dinner and because it's snowed we probably won't be able to get a take-away delivered. So I'm going to have to drag myself off my sick bed and trudge to the shops. 15 min walk and then fight my way through the crowds and hope there are some ready meals left.
Me & Mr Saffy have just been discussing whether it would be really bad not to go. I hate the place at the moment anyway............but, I suppose it would look bad if I sent my apologies..........
Tragedy here!! Our Internet is down so no slingplayer connection . I'm in Starbucks doing this but not sure I should sit here for hours watching it!! Will have to hope they fix the phone line soon. Until then I will have to stay away from any strictly websites!

Here you go, TopSec:
BBC Breakfast
Agreed, don't look at anything that's got Flu in the title!
There are a couple of tongue in cheek threads:
Kara Will Destroy World Civilisation As We Know It
Artem is Rubbish
Enjoy
Well almost time.
Agree with Topsecs view of the Show dance styles.

I agree that it's a shame Kara isn't doing one of her tangos. They were both breathtaking.
Kara is doing Rumba and AS, I think her new dance is waltz?
Pamela is doing Charleston and VW, her new dance is AT
All this is what I seem to remember, don't take it as gospel!
Woo hoo - getting excited
OK thanks for that Topsec.

Its going to be interesting....
oh I'd forgoten how bad Lisa and Brendan were.
That granny has been receiving ballroom lessons for 6 months prior to Strictly. Hubby Billy let the cat out of the bag in his interview.
She also had another round of Botox this week, so fresh when she smiled her eyebrows didn't move.
I can't see her getting past half way tomorrow
I think they've all had dance experience so maybe it all balances out in the end?
Too close to call, hope everyone dances well.
Go Team Kartem!

Boo
We've got my work's Xmas do tonight
Me & Mr Saffy have just been discussing whether it would be really bad not to go. I hate the place at the moment anyway............but, I suppose it would look bad if I sent my apologies..........
Cheers Slugsta!
I've made it back and we now have enough food for the next couple of days so I don't have to go out again thank God!
Currently enjoying some tomato soup
Saffy, can't you use the snow as an excuse? We've only had 2-3 inches here and the roads are chaos!
Enjoy folks, talk to you all later!!
Bad luck TopSec Hope you to get to see it one way or another
Indian ready meal for later but no alcohol as I'm already slightly off my face on cold medicine
Cat has gone awol but I do have a real fire and some nice chocolates for the show
I am at the edges of a cold, but am sticking with the wine - alcohol kills bugs, yes?
Dinner done and out of the way. Mr Soup busy making an airfix kit in the other room. So I can settle down to good bit of telly.
Wine anyone? and a hot toddy for Little Nemo.
Curry on, mog's already got the best spot on the sofa.
Evening all!
I really did try to get in
Come on Matt
