Its not a diet as such. I went to see a naturopath (sp?) who is a qualified nutritionist but one that concentrates on sensible and wholesome food.
He basically went through life and medical history as well as analysing what I eat and what allergies I have.
The new regime is about changing what I eat and at what times as opposed to going on a diet. Even though I am huge I don't generally overeat. I do drink too much which adds a lot of calories but am reducing this.
What he suggested sounded workable as he went through things that could help thyroid function, iodine, and also was sensible as he said that we still need some fat in our diet and should moderate what we eat and tailor it to suit our lifestyle and health. I will be reducing things such as bread and wheat but replacing them with others.
It is not an instant cure but I think that it can help - I hope so!
