I have started training on the bike..................anyone any idea of what the bike course is like.............I only have 9 months left................
thanks Gom.............I paniced for a minute before I realised it was in feet not metres............looks like quiet country lanes..............you will probably be off the bike before i get on there

I would hope so, if we're not off the bike before Sunday morning, knocking out a 78 mile run before the cut-off could be a bit tricky
Just don't shine it in the direction of my tent when you go past and i'm fast asleep.......you only have to go around 30 times don't you...........someone suggested tape on handlebars.....thats a lot of tape..........
not sure how you will attach the 78 bits of tape on you for the run.....or the 39 bits of tape for the swim.......you will be like a goldfish
Afternoon all, if you fancy suggesting training sessions and the like here's where, sadly no opportunity to have a website built. http://wp.me/p1akRc-4 although it's all new to me so you could end up anywhere in webland...
Impressed that you are aiming for 15 hours each day when you have 17 hours i believe..........I take it the balance is to allow time for punctures..........
I'd have thought the trail will be pretty well run flat by the time you get there from our previous 26 laps a day and so normal running shoes should be fine. I may well be in sandals by then from some of the reports I've read.
Sit rep: November mileage - Swim err, 0, Bike - 418, Run - 21, slight bias there but that is a bit deliberate.
I'd like to thank my new coach Debbo for her suggestion of not swimming for a while, my kind of plan!
symes...............good cycling............you should cycle out to different formites houses....neet them for a cycle ride and then you could cycle home.or they could cycle part of the way home with you................that way you wouldn't get bored as you would be going to lots of different areas
Seren, nice idea, can I leave you in charge of logistics?!! The other suggestion for training to simulate the day was from Mon/Dave who came up with the idea of Land's End - JO'G, hmmm
