Have you done it before. You will love it. Kareoke's at 3pm in the afternoon. 1 Euro a beer. horse race days in the pubs, and all for the price of a sleasy jet flight
Just entered via website, found it quite hard to understand. But I entered all details and paid via CAM online the payment was successful but not had an email confirmation yet. Really looking forward to this been to benidorm several times but never done a race abroad before. Hope you all get registered succesfully and maybe see you out there.
Hi, I have got my registration certificate now so all good. Regarding the entry process I entered on the website. You put all your details in and then it takes you to a payment page you choose either CAM bank or caja madrid to make payment via debit or credit card. Once payment is authorised you get a confirmation page. Then the next day go back on website search your name and print registration certificate. Hope this helps good luck
I am going Friday AM and coming back tuesday i think, there was a couple of us doing the race now they can't make it so its just me going. I am going with the family I think it depends on flight prices if expensive just me and I'll return sunday.
When I search my name on the inscription part of the site it comes up and has OK next to it but when I click on the get certificate it comes up with "no inscription" , how did you get you certificate ?
when in inscription part of the site, half way down page it has a box check registration. click on this and it brings up another box with 3 options in it to check registration. In the top one where it asks for your D.N.I which is for spanish people to enter there insurance number. As you dont have a DNI enter your passport number that you should have entered on application form. After you enter passport number it should bring up your certificate.
The Princessa is close to the start, one side of the hotel overlooks the start, it is a two minute walk to the start, five minutes back, hobbling of course after 13 miles.
Try Travel Republic for accomodation.
Hotel Ambassor Playa is a good fifteen minutes walk from the start although it is closer to the the pubs, etc. It is a good distance to jog and warm up though.
Hi emilys dad, could you give me some info about the course I see you've done this a few times. flat or hilly - laps or out and back any tips you could pass on. Does the benidorm half marathon normally get a lot of spectators or is it a lonely course.
Last year was the first year that it was on a Saturday evening and it pi**ed it down, I dont think in ten years of running in the UK that I have run in such wet conditions.
In past years the race used to be on a Sunday morning and the support was excellent, by both the Spainish, British holiday makers and ex pats. The route is basically a figure of eight twice, only real hills are when you run through the old town. Hopefully this year will be dry and everyone will get behind the runners. The route takes in both beaches of Benidorm and therefore past a number of pubs / resturants.
Even last year it was not lonely, just bloody wet. I think I was drier when I came out of the shower after the race last year.
Beware of the Spanish runners at the end of the race, they will simply push in when you are waiting for your goodies, massage, etc.

Fourth time this year, you know what you are getting. The organisation and atmosphere of the race is excellent, hopefully not as wet as last year.
Then two days recovery in the bars before flying home, good weekend away and all sorted via that Internet thingy.
PF5 - any luck with entering ?
Hope you all get registered succesfully and maybe see you out there.
Has anyone else entered yet ? I have entered but I am having trouble getting my registration certificate. Does anyone know how to get this.
Thanks in advance
Entering looks like a bit complicated, anyone to guide me through the entry process ?
Do you sent the money first or after you have entered your details on the website site ?
Then the next day go back on website search your name and print registration certificate.
Hope this helps

Did anyone notice on the website something about different routes for different age categories and genders or was that just me??
Keep an eye out for the Penny Lane Striders stag weekend!
