I've spotted people wearing Buffs from race events. Has anyone got a supplier who can do them in Club colours with a club name on? More people are wearing them now rather than hats and think they'd be well used.
Maria Sabal at Buff is your man (well, woman ). Send her an email - Maria@buffwear.co.uk - and she'll help you. You'll need to come up with a rough design which their designers will tidy up and turn into a buff. I designed the pirate buffs so message me if you need any advice.
I love buffs ! Versatile bits of kit and brilliant out on the bike. I wear one in the summer to soak up sweat and one on winter to keep me warm. I'll probably race in mine this morning.
Thanks for the link, thats really useful.Personally I havent worn a hat since getting my Buff so like the idea of one with club colours. It can be very cool up on the hills so keep your ears nice and warm. Havent needed sun protection yet, that would be a refreshing change. Thanks
JB - take the buff tube, twist it in the middle through 180 degrees (maybe a bit more) and then fold over one end over the other so you have a double skin cap and slip on the head. takes a little practice to get it right but works well - I run in mine and wear one under a bike helmet with no problems.
I too wouldn't be without a buff when it's likely to be cold. I wear mine like a very wide headband (or a hat without a top - it depends how you look at it). That way it keeps my forehead and ears warm, without overheating. When it gets too hot, I can take it off and twist it round my wrist. I've also used it as a balaclava under a helmet, as a hat as FB describes, as a neck warmer, and as a pillow (around a fleece inside a dry bag).
