I suffered a stress fracture in Jan/Feb resulting in 3 weeks completely off running then gradual return. Have made good progress in recent weeks taking over 5 minutes off my 10k PB and have another 10k race on Sunday. I am desperate to do the race and try and get a PB but today felt a localised pain in my right fibula; not too severe but similar to the pain I had with my previous stress fracture. I plan to rest tomorrow instead of usual 3-4 miles easy run the day before a race but should I just run through the pain at Sunday's race or pull out in case it is a stress fracture? I am also concerned as to the reason behind potentially repeated stress fractures.

I agree
But should I run with an ipod?
I hope you mean generic MP3 player ?
Err No.... The music will drown out the sound of your limbs snapping
