Cupcakes- sounds like a plan to me.
I'll try to whup my diary into some sort of shape and update the list, but should be able to do (=I really ought to be doing) most weekends.

Providing work doesn't drive me to spending the weekend in a drunken stupor which is a very distinct possibility right now !!
Think it's a couple of hours' drive each way but I'll go a long way for a cake
As it goes, myself and the Spaz are supposed to be doing the Tanners so I would not have been able to attend anyway. Don't know if it crosses any roads of the route but I will look out for a bunch of cyclists looking like they are having fun!
With a rumour of a possible pirate trip to Lanza next year I am keen to get my bike training started early

Route is (ish) Pirbright, St Johns, Horsell, Chobham, West End, Frimley, Mytchett ranges, Ash, Tongham, Seale, Puttenham, over a lump, then Normandy, Merrist Wood, Pirbright and maybe another loop of the Mytchett ranges and the two ludicrous downhills throught the twisties.

Looks like the Tanners is popular, look forwards to seeing some pirates there then-assuming we are entered, my cheque hasn't been cashed and it was sent the start of December!!
Would have thought I would have got it back by now if we had not got a place?
Can't join you this weekend now. Am going to do a sportive in Newbury with a friend. Will be sorry not to see you all. And Soupy, those cakes are awesome!

They can be a bit tardy with the cheque cashing. Did you get an email confirming entry?
I know I did but I am a local LDWA Surrey and have had a few discussions with co-ordinator (Fiona) over the years. Wouldn't worry too much.
I think there are two pubs, the Cricketers and summat else, sure one will have some grub?
I will get back on my bike year! Managed to pick up at 20kg suit ase the other week and think it wasn't heavy so I reckon my neck/shoulders are fixed
Looking forward to Sunday. I'll get there for 10 so I can faff and still have time to watch DB faffing even more. I would love to take credit for the cakes but its not me who makes them but a friend. She posted that picture of her latest creation on facebook and I immediately said "I want some of those"! They are on order - she's a very good friend who is also an awesome cyclist. Sadly she can't join us for the ride but hopefully soon.

I'll also bring lights. If you have a back flasher, suggest stick it on. It is winter after all.
I rode the first part of the course last weekend. Wonder if we'll get the army bagpiper practising in the woods again?

I need to remove a shimano cartridge BB and install a GXP external BB.
