Wenlock Olympian Walk (or run)

Two challenge walks/ runs over the weekend of the 21st /22nd July 2012 as a tribute to foundation of the Wenlock Olympian Games in 1850 and in celebration of their direct contribution to the birth of the modern Olympic Games. The WOW 100 miles event has a limit of 40 hr and will follow a figure of eight route based on the Priory Hall, Much Wenlock (GR SJ 624 001) starting 08.00 on Saturday. The WOW 50 miles event has a limit of 20 hr and follows the first loop of the 100, starting 10.00 Saturday. Full feeding and comfort facilities at the event centre, properly supplemented in halls at the halfway points on both loops. Outside checkpoints between the halls. Organised by Marches LDWA
