    LmH - 2x compeeds and a thick wad of that not adhesive dressing stuff taped around the sides...
    Don't know about you lot, but compeeds are excellent, a day maybe 2 and back to normal..

    Just wish this sodding cold/flu/chesty gunk stuff would bugger off....

    4 miles easy easy d&d

    1k swim d&d - was meant to be longer but wasn't enjoying it - every length was an effort - it was first swim back since before Christmas though. And the importance of these swims is diminishing now as marathon training is getting into full swing.

    Midweek long run later.

    Nice session Ewan - K repeats is one of my favorites - nice speed too.

    Paddy - I find the swims good for core strength and for easing the legs when training hard. Bound to feel a little strange after a while out of the water though.

    LMH all relatively fine sunday glutes/pirifrmis ached a bit this has passed aside that been sleeping well (apart from sun night)

    Will moniter the effect on the knee and then probably repeat again next week. Last week the initial recovery seemed ok but then the knee felt worse for a couple of days before getting better. Todays run felt better than last weeks and the initial recovery is also better but I will remain cautious. my big plan is to add another run per week next month before extending the lngth of each run. Hope this makes sense.

    Pre Op at Hospital... but did manage the Gym before for 47 mins on the X trainer, will be back in the gym later too.

    Was good to get back to work today - I missed my routine! 

     Only managed a 3 mile run after work in 22:29 - even paced - legs a bit sore from the hillwalking.

    Don - regarding routine - my training goes haywire during holidays. Back to work now and training back to normal.

    RFJ - all the best for the alterations/ repairs.

    LMH/Adrian - yeah - i'm hoping the next dip will be easier. I do think that swimming is an ideal upper body/ core balancing exercise for runners!! There will be less now though as marathon training kicks in!

    This evening did 15 miles. Felt great and one of the best midweek long runs to date. Away from home for my weekly visit to the smoke so made the most of it!!

    Pre Op went well - go in for Op next week on the 19th.

    Done 2 sessions on the X trainer today at the gym totalling just unedr 10 miles, plus a spinning session, now quite tired...
