1k swim d&d - was meant to be longer but wasn't enjoying it - every length was an effort - it was first swim back since before Christmas though. And the importance of these swims is diminishing now as marathon training is getting into full swing.

Paddy - I find the swims good for core strength and for easing the legs when training hard. Bound to feel a little strange after a while out of the water though.

Will moniter the effect on the knee and then probably repeat again next week. Last week the initial recovery seemed ok but then the knee felt worse for a couple of days before getting better. Todays run felt better than last weeks and the initial recovery is also better but I will remain cautious. my big plan is to add another run per week next month before extending the lngth of each run. Hope this makes sense.

Was good to get back to work today - I missed my routine!
Only managed a 3 mile run after work in 22:29 - even paced - legs a bit sore from the hillwalking.
RFJ - all the best for the alterations/ repairs.
LMH/Adrian - yeah - i'm hoping the next dip will be easier. I do think that swimming is an ideal upper body/ core balancing exercise for runners!! There will be less now though as marathon training kicks in!
This evening did 15 miles. Felt great and one of the best midweek long runs to date. Away from home for my weekly visit to the smoke so made the most of it!!
