The Running Shoe Shop

I just want to take a minute to mention the running specialist shop. When it comes to it, there simply is no competition when it comes to the competition. Anyone could go to their branch of high street chain sports retailer and perhaps, but not always, get their shoes for a fiver less.

My local specialist shop is run and staffed by people, who take the time with you, are fully aware of the facts and who don't treat their mobile phone as their only 'take onto the shopfloor' accessory. The turnover of staff in specialist shops are low so these people like their jobs as well.

I went in yesterday to get my gait checked with the mind to get some Triumph 9s, I tried just about every neutral shoe in the shop, including the Triumph 9s and then the guy who was serving me had a thought. He knew that Adidas shoes were smaller made and got me into the larger sized Supernova Glide 3s, I loved them. they were in sale and the guy saved me £60 over the Sauconys.

This is the second time I have used AH and they have been excellent, they have a customer for life in both me and my wife.

So, for any new runner out there ... go to your local specialist shop and get the right advice at the start. You are also supporting a local business and keeping people from your community in a job.
