HI Folks

my 2 children kindly booked me into a hotel in Brighton for the Marathon in April and was wondering if anyone had stayed at the Amsterdam Hotel,reading reviews it says there is a lot of noise from a nightclub next door

has anyone got any views on this hotel ,the last thing we need is a sleepless night before the run

Ask for a room away from the nighclub maybe ?

The sleep the night before isn't important anyway. Get a good nights sleep on the Friday - that's the one that counts.

Get yourself some ear plugs too just in case.  But as Cougie says, the Friday night sleep is the important one, but make sure you're well rested the whole of the week before.

Oh yes earplugs are a great idea.
I take them when I'm racing away - especially if there's a few blokes sharing the room. Of course I don't snore myself....

Okay thanks ,yes I had thought of ear plugs remember being stuck at hotel in Ibiza right over a nightclub they were a god send

I'd second the ear plugs. It could be quite noisy there. It's worth asking if you can have a room away from the night club, but there are quite a few bars and night clubs in the area of the Amsterdam.
