Deleted mine, you get a spam magazine in October. Tip, use an email address you don't mind filling up with their junk, coz you get tons and tons of it.
Hi, first timer to apply for london. Got an overseas ballot this morning but now I'm worried. I see some of you guys talking about a payment. I've got a number and a confirmation email (that went to my trash) but do I have to pay anything now? If so Why now when I we dont even know who's got a place?
Overseas ballot payment is not due until you receive confirmation of a place and there is no request or requirement to pay in advance.
UK ballot is similar but all through the application process they try to get payment up front and make it a donation should you not actually get a place and in return you get an item of branded clothing where the quality varies from year to year. This option is not available for an overseas application, which makes the application process quicker and less annoying.
I have gone through 4 years of rejections where I have paid early and donated and received the clothing so I have seen no evidence to suggest this helps in any way. I am now based overseas so I am hoping this gives me better odds of getting a spot for 2013.

Hi Tim - you're right - I've read somewhere to wait until the end of the week and check your spam filter.
As long as you have your confirmation number - you're safe
LOL.
