Fairy Freckled Cow trail race
My first trail race! An 11k trail race around Alwen Reservoir in Wales this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed it, despite my reservations because of the miserable weather as we were driving there. Anyway, the worst of the rain held off, although it was pretty windy in places. A lovely route through woods and around the reservoir, and with views which would have been spectacular in better weather. Despite walking up a particularly long and steep hill, I managed 6.8 miles (according to my Garmin) in 1:07, which I was dead chuffed with. I'd definitely go back and do this race again.
