Hi
Having been on a training camp weekend previously i was left thinking that im sure i could do a better job myself. Was just wondering on the level of interest though?
Was thinking of renting a large youth hostel in Cornwall and having a long weekend break (Fri - Sun) with loads of running, plus spending the other time in the company of runners. I know some absolutely fantastic runs that would leave you inspired and invigorated. I would organise pacing groups so that you can run with someone of your own standard.
I planned to get a guest speaker to talk about their experiences plus a question and answer session at the end.
Im not really into doing it to make a killing and as an indication i reckon it could be done for about £100 per person - 3 days, 2 nights plus all your food as well.
Please let me know if you would be interested, if i can get 30 people i'll do it.
Cheers

I would be interested in signing up, it would be a good experience.

Have you a date in mind

Oh right, I haven't been on this forum yet. I hope to be able to run the FLM this year. I think I've avoided this place so I don't tempt fate. My plan is to run the Paris marathon 1 week earlier if I don't get in here.
Any ideas regarding location? Probably better to stick pins in a map and choose a central location for everyone.
I'm the one who posted the origianl idea and sorry i havent taken it any further - work commitments got on top of me.
It certainly appears that there is more than enough interest. I am more than happy to organise the whole thing although its not going to be possible to please everyone with either the date or the location.
I will post some details as soon as i have them.
Flight about £100 return
Accomadation avaiable at Lausanne GuestHouse BackPackers Hostel Click here from £16 per night per person.
Food about £25 each. Beer money up to you.
Interested?????
Spent a couple of days in Geneva last week and took my runing gear out of case the evening before I left. Big mistake! Geneva has lots of tracks through parks around the lake, and runners all over the place at all times of day and evening. What is Lausanne like? I didn't make it that far north?
