you can check if you are in or not on the website - www.readinghalfmarathon.co.uk - you enter your name and post code and it checks for you.

  • Options
I'm definitely in, reckon I should manage 2:15 (first half, so that might be a bit too optimistic?)

I don't show up on the website either but I've got an e-mail somewhere accepting my entry. Credit card doesn't appear to have been debited yet either. Perhaps I'll mail the organisers tomorrow.

I think you will find that their website isn't fully up to date yet. I am on there now but I wasn't a week or so ago. There is another reading half thread and the website they mention is www.nt439.vs.netbenefit.co./reading/. I haven't tried this one but it might be worth giving it a go.

Me too EP, I am feeling very sorry for myself. Am having great difficulty in getting back into training.

Good luck with getting over the injury.

So this is where you're hiding LL.

Get those buns out of the oven in Copenhagen PLEASE. Can't stand sound of the smokealarm!

Have just updated with CR and LR.
Am looking forward to seeing you all in Reading...

Mailed the organisers about the status of my entry. Seems I submitted my application with surname and first name in the wrong order which is why I didn't show up in the check my entry search.

    How stupid do I feel?
  • Options
    snigger

ive ordered a t shirt too
  • Options
lo everybody - I'm on the web site

not ordered t shirt yet but seriously thinking bout it

Gill is running VERY slowly just lately - she might be coming down but will not run!!!

I took her on an 8 miler on Sat and she took a short cut home!! Trying to motivate her is hard but I keep taking her out and doing hills and fartleks & she;s OK with them, but give her a distance!! Hell no way Jose!!

Told her she should join the 2.45 group or maybe just stick with EP and Barty - you will get her round won't you?
  • Options
    she can run with me
i only do 11-12 min miles
  • Options
    I'm in!

Just started running (again!) so this will be even slower than usual.
  • Options
    Hi EP

    Did you get my mail?

Yes I will be staying with you.
  • Options
I think I am back on track. Went out Saturday morning and managed 8.5 miles, it was very hard work but I feel more positive now, although I will have to go some to increase my mileage before Reading.

  • Options
Pix - with me pacing you round, you will make 2:45... it is amazing how running with someone else can speed you up... especially when I start to embarress you and you'll just want to get away from me!!!
  • Options
Err Pix - didn't we do the GRIM a bit faster than last year? So you can do at least 8 miles of it!!
  • Options
Won't be doing 2:10 this year as I'm marathon training and don't want to push too hard.

Hope to be well under 2:30 tho :-)
