None of my tights or shorts have seams in places that cause problems.
I guess if they are designed properly for running/activity, rather than being generic leggings, they should have the placing of seams taken into account.
Some have diamond-shaped gussets, some have a kind of wide band that goes up the inside of one leg and down the other, without a central seam.
All are comfortable and don't chafe. I don't know if they give me a camel toe or not, I don't bother looking.
I wear pants, but I imagine that the ones with the stupidly placed seams are the same ones that are likely to give you camel toe. My bum got quite cold this winter even with the pants, though, so wouldn't have wanted to go without. My thighs don't get cold.
I've also never had any chafing in the pant region. I always thought that was just a problem for chaps?
roeby.if you do not wear running designed shorts then my bigest worry would be that after a few washing they start getting seethrough........and that the seams would chaf after a few miles......
I buy my shorts in the sale and they wash and keep for several years.definitely worth the investment
tk maxx believe it or not .......good for sports bras and track tops , local nike outlet for my running tights which generically have a seam at the front eugh !.........may now hunt myself down a pair with no front seam , have to say I,ve got adidas ,saucony, and nike and they all have a front centre seam .........
The first question I have is why clad yourself in what is effectively a bikini, presumably to reduce drag, only to then let those dangleberries hang out? They must create their own wake as he swims!
Thanks for all the mixed advise. Guess I will continue commando and stop worring if people can tell. i shall just go for it as chaffing from knickers is so much worse.
Fat budda that picture is just plain nasty, although if i am evert a bit concerned about my figure in my kit i will remember that picture!!
Anyway, that's enough from me. I shouldn't even be in this particular thread. I'm starting to feel a bit like an old man rifling through the lingerie department at Debenhams.
It's like that episode of Father Ted - "the biggest lingerie department in Ireland..."

gosh maybe I should stop running in my generic matalan leggings and maybe thats causing the camel toe ! my labia will thank me for it I,m sure
I don't like wearing just lycra keks.
too much potential for excess veinage and helmet profile.
i'm a shy country girl and some things are for the bedroom only.

I've got Nike shorts and tops which I've been wearing since 2005
(not continuously, I would add!)
My Asics tights are several years old, too. Like Seren, I get them in the sales.
It is worth buying stuff which is designed for the purpose, it will do the job better, and does last a long time.
I get mine on ebay from people who've bought expensive gear and then it's turned out they don't really like doing sport after all.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Good grief, how can you (appear) not to notice that kind of front-wedgie going on?!
Shameful. Surely a race official should have pulled him off?
Perhaps the bit in the middle functions as a fin, like in a shark?
Fine until it catches on something or scrapes the ground.
