Thanks all for the nice comments, keep thinking I really must start my training for Wales, but am enjoying eating everything I couldn't before and drinking far to much

If it helps, I took three weeks out instead of the customary two before I went back to training.  I felt I needed it.  Don't be afraid to feel the same.

Bit worried it might turn into 4 or 5 at the moment and the other problem I have is a good friend is doing IM Mallorca which is 2 weeks after Wales and he keeps tempting me to swap races

Do you have to pay to switch, including any difference in entry fee?  Because I was only looking at IM Mallorca today, and it is about €550 to enter, which is higher than I recall being the cost of Lanza, UK and probably Wales too.

I thought the whole point was to do the Lanza Wales double? That's what you'd spoken about end of last season when I did it.

Yep, that was the whole point, but Wales is dark, hilly, rainy and cold

Mallorca / Majorca isn't

Staying in a hotel on or near the run course at Wales for 3 days is £600 plus

flights and accommodation at Majorca for 5 days is £750

hmmmmmmmmm

£600?  i hired an 8 berth holiday cottage for seven days behind transition for £320 last year.

we had a 5/ 6 person house for 5 days for about 360 .door opened onto the run course in town

I camped, cost about £20 

.. but then there was the slight issue of the weather
