What's your favourite running medal and why?

My favorite running medal is the one I earned for running the London Marathon in 2018. This medal was special to me because it was my first marathon and it was an incredible experience that I will never forget. The medal itself is very unique and beautiful, with a black and gold design that features an intricate representation of Big Ben and the London skyline, along with the words “London Marathon 2018” around the edge. It is a reminder of the hard work and dedication that went into training for and completing my first marathon, and I will always treasure it.

London marathon 1999 - I ran that a week after my wife decided to leave. It was a very emotional day to say the least - wasn’t gonna go but decided that I should. It’s a shame that it’s so hard to get a ballot place - entered about 15 times and got in once through ballot and once through charity - it’s hard work raising the charity fee!!
