Can anyone help me? I am very confused about new guidelines on water intake following the deaths of runners in recent US races due to too much water. Even on the RW site one article suggests 5 litres a day and another gives a formula which results in 1.8 litres a day for a 175 pound man like me. Can anyone tell me what we should be doing?

I'd use the wee test and go from the colour to see if you were hydrated. All these scare stories annoy me.
