Sorry if this has been done to death. Due to time constraints over the next few months my long run has to be reigned in. I have a hilly 50k next month and then a flat 56 miler in september. Due to locations and travelling i have 2 choices. Choice one is being able to run a flat 20 miler as my long run. Choice 2 i can run an extremely hilly 15 miler with constant drops and climbs of about 200ft.
What is going to be more beneficial for endurance? Ultimately i will be on my feet the same amount of time? Can a hilly shorter run be better than a longer flat run? It would be possible after my long run to get a 6 miler in as a mini back to back
Thanks again and apologies as i am in the middle of nowhere with no laptop so all this is done on the phone and its painfully slow looking for any answers on the forums
