I will be doing the Reading half again this year despite last years "interesting" start. For those not lucky enough to have been there there was a huge queue at the baggage hall - We arrived about an hour early and were still queuing by the official start time. The race time was delayed because of this so I did start with everyone else - was freezing cold by then though.
Hmm, tempted. I'll see if I can tempt Mr. to do a bit of traveling. Best strategy is to let him choose which, if I can get him to consider running away from home at all.
Mine's correct, BK. I think Ironbridge rather than Coniston for geographical and family reasons. And I'll probably do the Shakespeare Half in Stratford-upon-Avon in April if I don't get a ballot place for London.
Velociraptor - I've been trying to find info on how to apply for Ironbridge - any ideas? I've emailed one of the organisers of this year's event, but haven't heard anything back as yet?
Well done, Mr A. You're way ahead of me - I've not even booked Salisbury yet (although I have bookmarked the website) and only sent off my Helsby application form yesterday.
The Shakespeare Half is two weeks after the FLM so I think I'll sign up for it anyway as I should have recovered sufficiently by then even if I do get a ballot place. My practice partner's wife is doing it (she did the full marathon last year but didn't enjoy the second lap), and I'm hoping that she or I can persuade her husband to have a go too - he's a phenomenally fit cycling enthusiast and I'm sure he could be taught to run.
Slowboy, this velociraptor will eat almost anything that has a face (the "almost" is because I leave the clocks for the crocodiles), so be very, very scared. Never eaten a horse, but there's a first time for everything.

sorry can't do fancy links and can't do piccy either.

EP, long delays and inadequate baggage facilities. They can only get better
It can't be any worse next year.... can it
Well, you know what I mean.
My details are correct for Salisbury and Helsby, better get my entries sorted...
By the way, does anyone know if velociraptors eat horses? I could be on for a pb if I'm fleeing a slavering carnivore...

Seriously though, wouldn't it be fabulous to take over a Youth Hostel up in the Lakes?
